HOW DO WE WORK TOGETHER
With a focus on establishing ESD as a primary violence prevention strategy, ESD Europe organizes and facilitates training of trainers while offering specialized support to organizations and individuals, fostering the development of a robust network of ESD experts. ESD Europe operates within three strategic areas:

Regional capacity building: By coordinating and overseeing training programs for ESD instructors/facilitators in the region, ESD Europe also plays an active role in promoting, advocating for, and supporting the collection of data that highlights the significance, need, and efficacy of 'Empowerment-based self-defence' initiatives.

Supporting emerging leaderships: ESD Europe supports and nurtures a community of experts in self-defence, generating a platform for exchanging experiences and knowledge for co-creating tools through forums, webinars, work tables, and virtual and face-to-face meetings. ESD Europe's work is based on the exchange of knowledge and experiences. We aim to transfer knowledge and skills to community leaders to ensure programs are locally relevant, culturally appropriate, and sustainable.

Alliances and networks: Through ESD Europe’s platform, we co-create and promote collaborations and alliances with different sectors, promoting synergy between actors, organizations, institutions, and people and materializing new projects, programs, and events. We incubate new approaches to promote teaching and learning in the field of empowering and trauma-informed self defence practices, exploring innovative methods such as professional networks, consulting efforts, research, and online learning.
